  • Our tour starts from Marechal Rondon International Airport  (Cuiabá, Mato Grosso)   

  • Our team will be waiting at the airport to transfer you to our first lodge on your Discover Pantanal itinerary.

  • All lodges and services have been carefully selected and vetted to ensure you will have the best and most comfortable experience possible.

  • Although wildlife behavior or sightings can't be guaranteed, the dates and locations we offer will provide the best possible opportunities to photograph any of the target species listed below.

What's included: 

  • All transfers and transportation

  • 4 1/2 days of excursions (by boat) on the Rio Cuiabá in Encontro das Aguas State Park.

  • All guiding and entrance fees 

  • 3 full meals daily (except where noted in the itinerary) 

What's not included: 

  • Airfare to Cuiabá Marechal Rondon International Airport:

  • Additional nights beyond the tour as outlined in this description

  • Tips for guides and lodging staff

  • Passport fees, visas, medical costs, immunizations or insurance

  • Alcoholic beverages and bar bills (including sodas) are to be purchased directly from the lodges

  • Laundry or any personal services available through the lodges

  • Cost of hospitalization and evacuation if necessary

Who this tour is for:

  • This tour is designed for photographers and nature lovers

  • Our primary goal will be to track and see wildlife up close so you can and 'get the shot'!

 

Target species:

  • Giant Anteaters, the Lesser Anteater (Tamandua), Howler monkeys, Capuchins and Marmosets, Giant River Otters, Tapir, Marsh Deer, and of course Jaguars. 

  • The likelihood is high to see any of the above mammals. There is also a chance we may see more elusive mammals such as the Maned Wolf or Ocelot.

  • There are 656 different bird species, and we will have opportunities to photograph various species of herons, egrets, six species of ibises and spoonbills, five species of kingfishers, parrots, macaws, many opportunities to photograph hawks, eagles, kites, Southern screamers and the Greater rhea.

Physical Requirements:

  • Easy - with short walks 

  • The longest walk is optional, which is approximately 1 mile round trip (flat) to a birdwatching tower.

  • All participants should be able to carry their own equipment throughout the tour.
