ATLANTIC RAINFOREST

The Atlantic Rainforest is a highly biodiverse ecosystem on the Atlantic coast of Brazil.  It originally stretched from Northeastern Brazil to Iguazu Falls, Argentina, and inland to Paraguay.  Today only 10% - 12% of the original forest remains. Yet it is still one of the most biodiverse ecosystems in the world. It is home to more than 3000 tree species, 94 medium-large sized mammals, over 2000 epiphytes, 26 primates, 528 amphibians, 124 small mammals, and more than 800 bird species.

We will explore three different areas of the Atlantic Rainforest:

3 nights -Tapirai - Toucanets, Toucans, Parakeets, Tanagers, Wooepeckers Hummingbirds

2 nights - Atlantic Rainforest Inland - Hummingbirds, Tanagers, Bare-throated Bellbird, Woodpeckers, Owls 

3 nights - Atlantic Rainforest Coast - Hummingbirds, Tanagers, Toucans, Scarlet Ibises, Tinamous

These areas offer beautiful and unique photo opportunities, and will not disappoint!
